Our Core Values

Massive Tree-Planting Campaigns

We’re organizing large-scale planting events across the Kilimanjaro region and beyond, dispatching thousands of healthy seedlings every week to local villages, schools, and forest restoration sites.

Forest Conservation & Restoration

Our teams are working in existing woodlands to protect mature trees and rehabilitate degraded areas. We manage community nurseries, monitor sapling survival, and employ sustainable forest-management techniques.

Environmental School Clubs

We’ve launched new eco-clubs in over 20 schools this term, equipping students with tools and training to lead recycling drives, tree-planting days, and classroom lessons on climate resilience.

Community Education & Workshops

TADA experts are facilitating interactive workshops for farmers, women’s groups, and youth organisations, covering topics like agroforestry, plastic-waste reduction, and water-conservation practices.

Volunteer Mobilisation & Training

We’re recruiting and training local volunteers, arming them with the skills they need for nursery care, community outreach, and field planting, ensuring each project is supported by passionate, informed participants.

Digital Awareness Campaigns

Ultimately, we strive for a sustainable Tanzania where our environmental actions render our presence obsolete, as communities collectively champion the conservation of their own landscapes.

Our vision and strategy

Our visions articulate the future we strive to create—a Tanzania where every person, ecosystem, and community thrives in harmony. We see flourishing forests that span from Kilimanjaro’s foothills to the nation’s remotest corners, empowered citizens leading conservation efforts, and a self-sustaining movement that eventually renders our work complete.

What makes TADA unique?

Answer. We were founded by a group of women under the Machame Nkweshoo Cultural Tourism Enterprise (MCTE) and relaunched in 2020 as Tanzania Development Action. Today, we combine grassroots tree-planting campaigns with environmental school clubs, women’s empowerment programs, and broad community partnerships—driving both conservation and social impact at scale.

How can I support TADA?

Answer. You can donate online, volunteer at our planting events, or partner with us to launch new eco-clubs and workshops.

Where do you run your projects?

Answer. Our core activities focus on the Kilimanjaro region, with plans to expand nationwide as we work toward planting 70 million trees.

What should I bring to a planting event?

Answer. Come dressed for outdoor work: sturdy shoes, a hat, and sun protection. We’ll supply gloves, seedlings, and tools—just bring your enthusiasm and a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated.
